Great Notion Brewing is a small to medium sized brewery located in Portland, Oregon with two locations
Expanded to Seattle in late 2020 by opening a tasting room in Georgetown and a taproom in Ballard
Great Notion’s motto is simple for this day and age, “With a passion for hops and the patience for sours”

Their can art is top notch and very colorful to combat the rainy/foggy weather in the PNW.
Great Notion has a skill set for pulling hop flavors into their IPAs that are incredibly pure and taste amazing.
Their sours focus on the fruits that are used and aren’t cloying sweet. Acidity level is low to medium and their beers have great aromas.
Any beer geek passing thru Seattle needs to visit Ballard, stop in at Great Notion, Reuben’s Brews, Urban Family, Stoup Brewing and Cloudburst Brewing. All five breweries are located within a mile of each other and make great beers.

Stephen Strasburg, starting pitcher for the Washington Nationals. Blueberry pies are very popular in the Maryland, Virginia, DC Metro corridor. Has honed his pitching style in the DC Metro area since being called up to the MLB level in 2010. Rebounded nicely from Tommy John surgery and helped the Nationals become a consistent force in the National League in 2012. Has been a quiet team leader over the past decade and pitched well every five days when given the baseball.
